Zach Outman brings a bold energy to country pop with "Pain in the Ass," a song about knowing better than to pursue someone and doing it anyway. The character is torn between desire and disillusionment, completely captivated by someone who seems to know just how much power they hold over them.
The story works because the feelings are mutual, even if neither one wants to admit it at first. Zach Outman focuses on the butterflies, the chemistry, the teasing, and the playful push-and-pull that makes falling for someone fun and hilariously difficult.
The country-pop setting makes the concept feel accessible, letting the story's personality sit in the middle. The title shows that when you are attracted to someone, you lose the ability to think rationally.
"Pain in the Ass" comes with teasing, stubbornness, chemistry, and the moment you realize someone's got you right where they want you. Zach Outman takes that familiar push-and-pull of emotion and spins it into a lighthearted story that celebrates the fun side of falling hard.
